Forward Associates Ltd. was started in 1965 to provide consulting services to the construction industry. Over three thousand jobs later, we are solidly entrenched in the industry, and recognized as a leader in construction scheduling.

Over the years, Forward has consistently been on the cutting edge of innovation in the scheduling industry. Currently one of the leaders in the use of the Critical Path Method (CPM), Forward was the first to design scheduling software that took full advantage of this method of scheduling. Programs such as Forward Pass, which allowed the contractor to work out of sequence without damaging the schedule, improved scheduling utility and accuracy. Many of the fundamental components of today's scheduling software are descendants of Forward Associates' early software innovations.

Forward has resided in California since 1981, but our associates maintain offices in Alaska, Texas, Washington D.C., Florida, and the Republic of Panama.

Donald Scarbrough - President, Senior Analyst
Don has been in the consulting industry since 1967. He graduated from California State University with a Bachelors Degree in Business and Industrial Management, and continues to attend college as a part-time instructor at University of California, Berkley and University of Washington, Seattle, in the area of Construction Scheduling. In addition to teaching scheduling, Don has also provided the Scheduling chapters for Construction Project Management, a college text currently used in more than 60 universities.
Since moving the company to California in 1981, Don has been both the President and Senior Analyst of Forward Associates.

Judy Scarbrough - Office Manager, Book-Keeping, Marketing
Judy has been a part of Forward Associates since 1981. She handles all the office jobs from answering phones to finding new jobs.

Justin Ferris - Junior Analyst, Computer Technician
Justin worked for Forward off-and-on for two years while in college. He recently graduated and is now working for Forward full time. In addition to performing updates and working with clients, he also maintains the office electronics and webmasters Forward's website.

Donna McCornack - Receptionist, Office Help
Donna has worked part-time for Forward for three years, helping with reception work, filing, and other office tasks.
